IEEE
GLOBECOM 2001 Symposium
Symposium on Future Satellite Communications for Global IP and ATM Networking The objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new ideas and contributions in the form of technical papers, panel discussions as well as online demos of service applications or technologies related to the future satellite communication networks in the new millennium. This symposium also intends to bring together various satellite network systems developers to discuss the current status, technical challenges, standards, fundamental issue, and future services and applications in the form of workshops and tutorials. Satellite will have a major role in providing a global interconnectivity for the next generation wireless networks where the IP and high-speed broadband applications are the dominant services. The symposium aims to conduct a closed technical coverage of the role of satellite in future IP networks and the possibility of the usage of ATM as the switching technology for onboard switching and processing as well as routing. The topics of interest include
but are not limited to the following:
Instructions for Authors Technical papers should be submitted to the
Globecom2001 Committee following the general Globecom submission process
and instructions (see Call-for-Papers).
In order to ensure that your paper is properly routed to this Symposium,
it is VERY IMPORTANT that you explicitly identify "Symposium
on Future Satellite Communications for Global IP and ATM Networking"
as the intended symposium to which you are submitting the paper. Failure
to do so may result in your paper being forwarded to another symposium.
Paper Submission by April 10, 2001 >>> see GLOBECOM 2001 web for any updated date
