This tutorial will introduce you to the inverter - a fundamental circuit to all CMOS digital circuits. Section 4 will provide an overview of Digital Circuits growing in complexity such as Logic Gates & Registers.
Utilising Cadence this tutorial will provide students:
(i) the make-up of an inverter circuit,
(ii) fundamental understanding of how CMOS transistors and digital circuits work,
(iii) operational simulation – illustrating how to overcome inherent CMOS process issues,
(iv) building & testing an inverter - fast tracked to readiness for fabrication,
(v) simulation test results – analysis via automated and manual testing.
