WHEN
THE FIRE ALARM BELL SOUNDS CONTINUOUSLY:-
- Take the following actions to facilitate evacuation of students.
- As you proceed with the evacuation make the following announcements :

- This is an emergency. You are required to leave the building
immediately. Do not use the lifts. Use the fire stairs only.
- Obey all directions given by wardens.
Move clear of the building to avoid impeding those following.
- Go to one of the evacuation assembly points at either the front or
the rear of the Electrical Engineering buildings.
These locations are :-
- The lawn area adjacent to "THE OLD SCHOOL" in Maze Crescent
at Front of Building J03.
- The CAR PARK adjacent to the Engineering Faculty Building J13 bounded
by Shepherd St., Civil Engineering and the Engineering Library.
- Tell a warden if someone is not accounted for.
- Do not re-enter the building until the all clear is given.
- In the absence of wardens, you may be required to take control of the
complete situation and assume the Floor Warden’s role.
- Guide students to nearest Fire Stair Exit. Lock
the laboratory or lecture theater after students have left.
