Information for Postgraduate Students
The School of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Sydney offers units of study at postgraduate level across the professional areas of information, electrical, power, communications and computer engineering which can be taken either individually or accumulated towards a qualification from the University.
A series of stand-alone and linked units of study, available in both full- and part-time mode and leading to: Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Master’s Degree are offered.
The Master of Engineering is a 48 credit point coursework degree which can be undertaken as a generic ME or with specialisations in the areas of Network Engineering, Wireless Engineering or Power Engineering. The ME can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time. In 2009 the ME will be joined by another coursework offering, the Master of Professional Engineering (MPE). This program has multiple entry streams and, subject to conditions, can be taken by students from a non-engineering background. Details about the MPE can be found at www.eng.usyd.edu.au/gse
We also offer research programs leading to the MPhil and PhD.
