Wireless communications is currently undergoing explosive growth. The convergence of the Internet and wireless technology promises innovative products and services that will revolutionize life and work.
Telecommunications Laboratory is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in research and postgraduate training in wireless communications. It is committed to provide educational environment and research capabilities needed to invent, design and deploy new wireless technologies. Academic staff and students in the Laboratory are working together to create future wireless devices and networks.
The dynamism of wireless communications has created an incredibly exciting environment for students and staff alike at Sydney University. We invite you to join the Telecommunications Laboratory and share your research and educational experience with us.
The Telecommunications Laboratory also perform research on cellular and wireless networking, including traffic management, quality of service management, mobility and location management, TCP protocol enhancement for wireless networks, and novel network architecture design for future wireless cellular and IP networks.
Currently we have four academic staff, three research and technical staff, and a number of postgraduate students.
Telecom Lab News
Telecommunications Laboratory provides outstanding research seminars presented by staff and postgraduate members and international visitors. Currently these seminars are scheduled for Thursdays 2pm at the Laboratory Conference room located inside room 712 on Level 7 of the Electrical and Information Engineering building, J03. All interested people are welcome to join.
