Why Do We Adjust the Vertical Gain?


  • The example display view we see on the left is a 30Vpp A.C. signal, and 10mVpp signal being viewed on the same vertical scale.
  • Because we are viewing on a scale that allows us to see the 10mV signal clearly, the 30V signal has been forced past the boundaries of the display.
