The DMM Input Terminals

  • If we look at the image on the left hand side the Input Terminals are labelled Terminal1 through to Terminal4.
    1. 10 A: This terminal is used for measuring signals in the range of 2-10 Amps.
    2. mA: This is used to measure signals from 0 to 2 Amps.
    3. COM: This is the common terminal and is used in all measurements.
    4. V ~: This is used when we measure voltage or resistance.

  • If we look at the FLUKE DMM on the left hand side of the screen we see that we have four input terminal labelled the same way as for the above DMM.
  • If we look at the image on the left hand side the Input Terminals are labelled Terminal1 through to Terminal4.
