Director's Message

Wireless communications is currently undergoing explosive growth. The convergence of the Internet and wireless technology promises innovative products and services that will revolutionize life and work. 

Wireless Engineering Laboratory is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in research and postgraduate training in wireless communications. It is committed to provide educational environment and research capabilities needed to invent, design and deploy new wireless technologies. Academic staff and students in the Laboratory are working together to create future wireless communications technologies, devices and systems. Current ongoing research projects include 5G cellular networks, millimetre wave communications, heterogeneous networks, advanced coding, modulations and access technology, machine to machine communications, Internet of Things, full duplex, wireless power transfer, cloud radio access networks, ultra-low latency networks, network virtualization and signal processing for communications.

The dynamism of wireless communications has created an incredibly exciting environment for students and staff alike at Sydney University. We invite you to join the Wireless Engineering Laboratory and share your research and educational experience with us. 

Currently we have four academic staff, and a number of research staff and postgraduate students.
