Kumudu Munasinghe was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. His primary and secondary education was from Nalanda College, Colombo. He received his B.Sc. (Computer Science) degree from the University of Delhi, India in 1998 with a First Class. He received his M.Comp. (Networking) and M.Sc. (Honours) by research from the University of Western Sydney, Austrralia in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He is currently attached to the School of Electrical and Information Engineering of the University of Sydney, Australia as a research scholar reading towards a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Engineering. Kumudu's research is funded by the ARC Linkage Project, Australian Postgraduate Award Industry Scholarship (APAI), Norman I Price Scholarship, and the Research Training Schema (RTS).
